Greetings everyone!
As I write, Corban is back home with us, and doing much better. When I took him to the ER, he required oxygen and an x-ray revealed pneumonia in both lungs. They began nebulizer treatments immediately and started an IV with antibiotics. Grandma Kunze, who is here to help while Ian is away, did hospital duty at nights, while I kept Caleb and Christopher at home.
We have been so grateful for all the help from our housemates and the Marineview Chapel fellowship. Thanks to all of you near and far who have responded with emails and phone calls. Your prayers have meant so much to us.
Corban still has a bad cough, which has kept him (and, by extension, me) from getting long continuous sleep at night. The doctors have warned us that he might be affected by these symptoms for the next month or so as he recuperates. Caleb seems to be doing much better also. His appetite and activity level have improved significantly, and I am encouraged that he will be completely himself again very soon.
Ian is finishing his last interviews at Yale today and will fly home to us tomorrow. We eagerly anticipate his return!
Blessings, all!
Vanessa

Hey. Praise the Lord. I am so glad that your mom was there to help you while Ian was gone, and that Corban and Caleb are on their way to restored health! Love you!
